Trusting Your Inner Nudge in Times of Fear

The Sacred Yes: Trusting Your Inner Nudge in Times of Fear

There was a time when I thought right decisions had to feel like fireworks (and lets be real, I am writing this to myself as a reminder even now).
Like the clouds would part, and clarity would pour in—loud, certain, and divine. A cosmic sign, ideally something that smacked me in the face and said “DO IT THIS WAY!”.

But in my lived experience—and in the journey of everyone I’ve had the blessing to coach—the truth is far more subtle and far more powerful:

You can feel afraid… and still be right on track.
You can feel uncertain… and still be aligned.
You can feel doubt, shakiness, and worry… and still be holding the thread of your truest “Yes.”

Most of us wait for permission, for certainty, for signs.
But those things usually come after the leap—not before.

We hesitate.
We overthink.
We play it safe because we’re scared we’ll mess it up.

But, what if fear isn’t a stop sign?
What if it’s just the echo of your old self, trembling at the edge of expansion? If you knew this truth, would you make the leap?

🔍 Decision Doesn’t Always Feel Clear

We’re taught to believe that aligned choices come with peace and confidence. And sometimes they do.

But often, the most soul-aligned decisions don’t feel like peace. They feel like risk.
Like vulnerability. Tenderness.
A deep breath before leaping.

The mind shouts worst-case scenarios, “what if I fall?” “What if this ruins everything?!”

But the heart whispers: “But I want this.

We mistake fear for misalignment, “it’s a sign, it’s not meant to be…” But what if it’s just the friction of growth and expansion?

🌱 The New Paradigm of Decision-Making

Aligned choices don’t always feel peaceful.
They come from listening inward, even when your hands are shaking. They come from sensing the right kind of discomfort—the kind that means you’re expanding, not betraying yourself.

Sometimes they feel like growing pains.
Sometimes they ask you to let go of who you’ve been to become who you’re here to be.
That doesn’t mean you’re off track.
It often means you’re closer than ever.

It’s okay to not have all the answers.
It’s okay to feel unsure.
What matters is whether the action honors your truth.

So let me ask you:
What if fear isn’t a stop sign… but a signal you’re near something meaningful?
What if your next move doesn’t need to feel certain—just aligned?
What if you already know the way… and all that’s left is to listen?

Because your compass is internal.
And there is no wrong path.

💡 Try This:

Next time you’re stuck in indecision, ask yourself:

  • Am I afraid because this is wrong—or because this is new?

  • If I could quiet the panic for a moment… what part of me already knows?

  • What would I choose if I believed I couldn’t mess it up?

Let your body answer before your brain rushes in.

Tune into that small, still voice.

It’s not always loud—but it is wise.
